Very good story but far too short. I so wanted more, more time for them to explore, more interaction with the others at the station when they find out. Just... more...
A short but fun and sexy read. Zane and Nick had plenty of sizzle between them and a believable romantic connection. Add in some crazy tension from and out of control arsonist and you have the perfect mix for an afternoon read. Nice HEA and no cliffhangers.
I had higher expectations based on the summary and reviews. There is virtually no story here. Nothing remotely complex. The confrontation at the end silly and completely expected. I am giving it two stars because a potential existed but the writing and story line were to weak.
A well written book. Fast paced and full of interest. The characters are sharp and crisp.
My only regret is that it ended too soon. A follow up book letting us know what happens with Nick and Zane and... what happened to Bill!
A great little story with so much drama and passion , it just keeps you gripped from start to finish, not all authors can make you care about the characters as this one can, and it's not only the fires that are red hot!
This was a excellent read . I enjoyed Sara York's writing . I will definitely read from this author again. Nick and Zane made a cute couple . They had a lot of love scenes . Bill was straight crazy thinking he can harm people . I also didn't like Det. Logan and how he was acting towards Zane and Nick for being together as a same sex couple . Great Read☺👍
Although it's quite good story, the reader will be left hanging. It starts abruptly and is very short. Little of the MC's backgrounds is given, but the action is intense.
It starts during a fire where Zane is in grave danger, amplified by the fact that he has an almost empty tank. This is the catalyst for his relationship with Nick. Since Nick is EMT at the same fire station as Zane, it's he who takes care of Zane after the accident. They have been on the same shift for a long time and thus grown to be good friends. Once started, their relation runs hot - they spend all time off together.
It's here the logic of the plot is a bit weak. Why should Zane become target for vengeance targeting Nick before they became lovers!? The reason for perpetrator's revenge is also a bit difficult to believe, but crazy people have no logic.
Altogether I still enjoyed this short story.
